Meet the Team

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and specializes in medication management in treating Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, ADHD and other psychiatric illnesses.

My ideal client is someone who understands that psychiatric illnesses are complex. They come from biological, environmental and genetic stressors that can be very difficult in treating but with time and resolve can hopefully be figured out.

It can be a short or lengthy process, but I will never give up in trying to help you achieve your goals and needs. I work with adolescents and adults exhibiting a wide range of psychiatric symptoms. I believe in providing collaborative care, and would like to involve clients and their families to provide best available treatment.

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are conducted in-office or via telepsychiatry. Prescriptions are electronically sent to nearest pharmacy.

I adhere to the holistic caring approach and treat the whole person. Medication are prescribed only if necessary. With evening and weekend appointments available, I make it easy to fit your treatment into your schedule.

As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in a wide range of psychiatric disorders including but not limited to depression, anxiety, personality disorders, bipolar, and schizophrenia.

In addition, I have experience working with both children 10 years and older and adolescents with ADHD and other behavioral symptoms. My experience comes from an acute inpatient psychiatric setting and community-based clinic. I encourage the use of multiple treatment modalities, such as the use of therapy in combination with medications to attain the most benefit

On an initial evaluation, I complete an extensive comprehensive interview including reviewing both medical and psychiatric history and together we develop a personalized treatment plan.

Right now, psychiatric evaluations and medication management can be conducted in the office or via telepsychiatry and medications would be prescribed electronically to the individual’s preferred pharmacy.

I believe a person is not defined by their diagnosis, but that this diagnosis should be used as a stepping stone in order to achieve greater well-being.

Kevin Brown

PMHNP-BC

Kevin Brown is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  His clinical expertise includes managing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and many other psychiatric conditions.  Kevin’s approach to care involves utilizing holistic methods that position the patient at the forefront of their treatment plan, rather than their diagnosis or symptoms. He incorporates psychotherapy in conjunction with the use of medication to cultivate evidence-based interventions designed to meet the needs of each individual and their family.

Kevin’s passion is to inspire, empower, and motivate individuals to achieve their life goals and maximize their ability to function at an optimal level of health and well-being.  Kevin recognizes that the mental health recovery process differs for everyone based on their age, gender, culture, values, sexual orientation, relationship status, life experiences, and principles.  Therefore, it is essential that healthcare providers develop an individualized, mutual plan of care that focuses on the unique needs of each person.

Danielle Scott

M.S, LGPC

Hello! I am Danielle Scott, M.S, LGPC, a licensed therapist in the state of Maryland. I want to acknowledge that choosing to seek therapy takes courage. As a client- centered therapist, I am here to help you work toward positive changes in your life and learn new perspectives. I want to empower you to feel good about yourself and to learn new ways to cope and find joy in this life.  I believe that each client deserves therapy that is unique to their needs, and every client deserves to have a better understanding of themselves and to learn positive coping skills and replacement behaviors.

Coming to therapy can be scary, and I am here to help! I want to provide that safe space to alleviate those fears and anxieties for my clients. My therapeutic approach is to be genuine, honest, and non-judgmental with all clients. I want my clients to feel that therapy is a safe place where they can show vulnerability, where they can have someone who will listen to them and not be judged. I have 10 years’ experience working as a psychiatric counselor on inpatient adult and child psychiatric units. I have experience working with a wide range of mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, addictions, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression.

My specialty is in Sports & Athletic psychotherapy, working with athletes who have performance-related anxieties and fears. Sports and athletic psychotherapy applies therapeutic techniques & modalities to help athletes learn why they cannot perform their skills as well as usual. It also allows space to process through fears and anxieties, while figuring out ways to move forward to get their athletic skills back. I have been a professional gymnastics and tumbling coach for the last 20 years in Harford County and Baltimore County, Maryland.

I have coached many athletes over these years, from ages 3-21 years old, who struggle with “mental blocks” and performance-related anxieties. I have helped many athletes over the years break through their mental blocks and get their skills back- successfully by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Visualization techniques, Mindfulness techniques, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

I was a competitive athlete most of my life growing up, so I understand how frustrating it can be to suffer from these mental blocks. It is one of my passions to teach athletes how to work through them and successfully get their skills back. Please don’t hesitate to reach out- I’m here for you!

Katrina Belarmino

LCSW-C

My name is Kat and I’ve been working in human services since 2011. I’ve worked in a variety of settings such as residential treatment, child protective services, and inpatient behavioral health, prior to becoming a therapist. I am an Arizona State University graduate, earning a Master’s in Social work in 2016.

In my professional and personal experience, I’ve learned that healthy relationships are rarely one-sided. One of the exceptions is the therapeutic alliance. Whether you’re meeting with me in-person or virtually, 45 minutes to an hour are all about you.

I will provide a space for you to tell me about the curveballs that life throws at you and how you feel about them, with no judgment. I will help you navigate them, through different modalities including but not limited to CBT, DBT, and ACT, and treat you as a whole person, rather than your symptoms. We’re a team and you’re the MVP. Together we will work to achieve an outcome that you desire in order to optimize youur functioning in this ever changing world around us.
